About Willow Farm

Our story

Hi, I'm Connie, the founder of willow farm animal encounters.

Animals have been my passion for as long as I can remember. I started working with them at just 15 years old, and over the years I've been lucky enough to gain experience on farms, in kennels, zoos and a variety of animal care settings. Today I also have five rescue horses, each with their own story, who remind me every day of the incredible resilience and trust animals can have.

But willow farm animal encounters is about so much more than animals- its about hope, healing, and connection.

I've lived with anxiety for most of my life, and there have been times when the world has felt overwhelming. throughout it all, animals have been my safe space. They never judged, never expected anything from me, and somehow always knew how to bring a sense of calm when I needed it most.

Everything changed when I began working at a local donkey trekking business. every day I watched people arrive carrying the weight of whatever they were going through, and leave smiling, laughing, and standing a little taller . I saw nervous children grow in confidence, older people light up with memories, and families create moments they'll never forget. it made me realise that the comfort I had always found in animals wasn't unique to me - they have an extraordinary way of reaching people when words sometimes can't.

That experience inspired me to create willow farm animal encounter's so I could bring those special moments to as many people as possible. whether we're visiting a school, care home, a hospital, a birthday party or a community event, my goal is always the same : to create meaningful experiences where people can slow down, connect with animals, and leave feeling happier than when they arrived.

The name willow farm carries a very special meaning

The business is named after my beautiful dog, willow, who sadly passed away at just two years old due to complications from epilepsy. Naming this business after her means that a part of her lives on it every visit we do, every smile we create, and every life we touch.

Willow farm animal encounters was built from love, shaped by personal experiences, and inspired by the incredible bond between people and animals.

Thank you for being part of our journey. We can't wait to share the magic of our animals with you.
